Vision
GSSCSR envisions a future in which sustainability and circularity are embedded in the way societies create knowledge, educate future generations, organise industries, design technologies, formulate policy and manage resources.
The Society aspires to a world in which disciplinary boundaries do not prevent collaboration; research is translated into practical and responsible action; education equips people to address complex sustainability challenges; industry and institutions advance resource-efficient and regenerative systems; and digital and technological innovation supports, rather than undermines, environmental and societal well-being.
Our long-term aspiration is an enduring international community — of researchers, educators, students, professionals, industry leaders, institutions, policymakers and communities — that collaborates across disciplines and geographies to accelerate the transition toward circular, resilient, low-carbon, inclusive and sustainable systems, connecting knowledge with practice and enabling people and organisations to create positive environmental, economic and societal impact.

Mission
The mission of GSSCSR is to build and sustain an interdisciplinary professional and scholarly community dedicated to advancing sustainability, circular systems and responsible transformation through research, education, collaboration and practical engagement.
The Society connects researchers, academics, educators, students and doctoral scholars, professionals, institutions, industry, policymakers and innovators, so that knowledge and experience can move across traditional disciplinary and organisational boundaries.
In doing so, GSSCSR seeks to be an enduring bridge between knowledge, education, collaboration, innovation, practice, policy and impact — so that interdisciplinary expertise can contribute meaningfully to sustainable and circular systems.
