Knowledge is only useful if it is kept, connected and shared. GSSCSR is building an open Knowledge Library — a living, interconnected body of knowledge that grows through the community over time.
Why shared knowledge matters
Knowledge that isn’t shared has to be discovered twice
Across sustainability and circular systems, the same lessons are learned again and again because they were never gathered, connected or passed on. A shared library breaks that cycle — it lets each person start from what the community already knows, instead of from scratch.
For an interdisciplinary field, this is especially powerful: a well-kept library is how one discipline’s insight becomes another’s starting point.

The Knowledge Library
One connected library, not a pile of folders
Different forms of knowledge belong together. In the GSSCSR library, every kind of resource links to a shared centre and to the others — so an idea in one place leads naturally to the next. This is the shape we are building; the resources themselves are still to come.
The library is a structure waiting to be filled — by our community, one contribution at a time.

Open knowledge
Kept in the open, wherever we can
Sustainability knowledge does the most good when it reaches the most people. GSSCSR’s intent is to keep the library as open and accessible as possible — favouring resources anyone can read and use over knowledge locked behind barriers.
We are honest about the present: there are no downloads, databases or archives yet. What exists today is a commitment to openness and a structure ready to be filled.

GSSCSR’s Knowledge Library is being founded now — as a structure, a commitment and an invitation. There are no publications, reports, databases or downloads yet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we offer founding members is the chance to help decide what an open, interdisciplinary library for sustainability should be — and to write its first pages.
